Create a website to promote the new ORA Cat electric car as the brand prepares to launch in the UK. Following an initial landing page and contact form, I’ve continued to expand the site for ORA, adding new content and features to enable them to showcase the car, get feedback from customers and take payments online.
What i did
ORA is a brand that exudes playfulness and they wanted a site that reflected that, with expressive use of colour, bold text and creative layouts.
Working closely with ORA’s marketing team and partner creative agency, creating the first website for brand based on their new global brand guidelines.
Following some great media coverage I was able to create eye-catching quotes using their striking colour palette and embed videos directly into a press page.
Over half the visits to ORA’s website are from smartphones, so the presentation needed to be perfect and keep the same playful layered experience enjoyed on tablet and laptop.
Not to get technical…
The ORA UK site was a custom build in WordPress and connected to external API services to manage customer contacts and online payments.
With a strong desire to know which of the various combinations of colours, roofs and interiors ORA offered the most popular, I created custom surveys to help ORA plan the mix of cars they should import to the UK.
Beyond the web
ORA attended the Fully Charged 2022 EV Car Show and I helped their presence shine with digital point of sale connecting their booth on the show floor to the site with QR codes.
